Some people use cannabis to medicate, others use it to elevate life, and some both. Whether for medication or recreation, cannabis enhances life experiences. Food is better stoned, cannabis allows you to sink deeper into you yoga practice, but what about sex? It has been published that regular cannabis users have more sex than those who don’t consume, but do you think cannabis could be the newest and trendiest aphrodisiac?

Anandamide is a neurotransmitter produced in the brain that binds to THC receptors, affecting our perception of pleasure. In a 2016 study, half of pot users reported feeling “aphrodisiac effects” after smoking cannabis. The science behind cannabis as an aphrodisiac, isn’t necessarily supportive, but it hasn’t been entirely debunked either.

The science is still out— ultimately it’s about how cannabis makes YOU feel. Have you ever lit up a joint and felt the need to “get it on?”

I have.

Cannabis enhances my love-life. I swear by Sublime’s Stoney Yoni Original Massage Oil— a coconut oil based lubricant. Sublime claims, “ When Stoney Yoni is applied topically to the yoni (*cough cough* your vagina), you can expect blood flow to increase to the area which can create a warming, swelling sensation. Your body may react to the cannabis oil by creating more of its own natural lubricant…” Boy, are they right! Within 10 minutes of applying Stoney Yoni for the first time, I felt a tingling sensation I had never felt before (yes, down there). Within 30 minutes, the sensations were peaking. Reaching an orgasm was easy.

Science aside, I recommend bringing cannabis into the bedroom. Whether you smoke or topically apply Sublime’s Stoney Yoni your experience [could] be enhanced— what’s the harm in trying?

In addition to the massage oil, Sublime has created a Stoney Yoni geared toward daily vaginal health (pictured). Stoney Yoni Essential Health oil is a blend of their champagne distillate and botanicals— coconut, rose, lavender, chamomile. It is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-yeast. Another great product geared toward women in a male dominated industry!

Oh… and little disclaimer, Sublime’s champagne distillate is also used to infuse their edibles, so warn your partner before they head down south. As an oil-based lubricant, Stoney Yoni can and will breakdown latex condoms. Always make sure you are practicing safe sex.

We all know about red wine, lavender, and even oysters as aphrodisiacs— but give cannabis a try and let me know how you like it below!
